Is school necessarily a place?

Is school necessarily a place??

My definition of school is a place where children make friends, grow, and learn. Can children grow, learn, and make friends outside of the school building? Absolutely!
Children learn from parents, grandparents, and friends in other homes. When exploring outside and playing pretend children are learning. When a child gets burned by the stove or stung by a bee, he or she is learning what not to do. Children learn at church by listening to their teachers.
School is not necessarily a place. If we are open to new adventures we will learn something new everyday.
